The main image in this article shows a 1952 passive solar house designed by architect Vincent George Kling, who also designed the Lankenau Hospital. It was on the market for 13 years and would have been torn down. I purchased it but some of the interior walls had been removed. I removed the remaining ones to create the glass box that you see. The foreground is one of many green additions that wrap the north side of the structure in well-insulated studio and living space additions. I consider this structure to be sculpture and a very large scale "assisted ready-made."

I was invited to do an installation/performance during ArtWalk in Culver City, Los Angeles. I assembled a small version of my spinning machine and with children in the neighborhood made spinart peace symbols on pegboard. People asked me if I was using pegboard because I was interested in the negative space created by the holes. Indeed I am.
